The good news was I did get a grant to go or training in March of next year and that will get me close to one son so maybe I will be able to tack a day on one side or the other of the trip and see my son that is in California.
I am busy pulling things together for our PAWSITIVELY PINK PARTY that will be held at the Conneaut Lake Dog Park, September 11, from 10-4 with activities for kids , families, owners, pets and all that want to come have a fun day. I am also reaching out to patients here and also lining up new opportunitiies to get out and do more teaching.
I have one daughter that is preparing her way out of the house to start her life since completing college and although I hate to see her go, it is time for her to find her place in the world as well. She is very talented and given the opportunity she will be one terrific teacher, friend and someday- wife and mother. As a mother I want to help and expect alot and want to shield her from any hurts and disappointments but it is my job to support her as she grows now.
I always laugh at young mothers that complain how hard it is when their kids are little and yet I will say it is much harder when your kids are grown and gone as you are no longer needed in the capacity you once were and you are not able to kiss the hurts away and fix the things that are causing them difficulties. I would take any of their burdens from them if I could whether physical, financial, emotional- I am mom and I want to help.
Yup it is Monday and we all have so much on our plates but the best I can give you is for me to make it a great day and hope that you can do the same and maybe my smile will help you in your day. s
