As a group ONS will be participating in many events that are cancer related and coming up on April 27, 2012 will be an UPDATE on BREAST CANCER at the Ambassador in Erie. I believe we will be participating in a Relay for Life event in the area, a local Blood Drive and more. I am fairly new in my position as Clinical Nurse Breast Health Educator despite being a nurse for over 30 years but only in my position now just coming up on three years although I bring personal experience to the position.
Family commitments being a little less now that the kids are out the door makes meetings and presentations much easier to do but getting to visit five children throughout the year can prove difficult. It is hard to organize and get where I need to and when. I have a new grandbaby coming which I will want to get to and had hoped to get up before the birth so as to have some time with my present granddaughter but other family obligations have put it off and now I am not sure of weather related issues plus I still have two dogs and a cat to plan for so spontaniety is not part of the cards. I know they wouldn't mind the dogs but I figure being 9 months pregnant and due any day now might just add to my daughter-in-law's stress level and I want to stay the Good Mother -in-Law.
Quite honestly the week has been exhausting and Pa and I might just crash and burn anyhow. It might just be time to watch the snow fall. Snuggle in, watch a movie, and relax. I bet I could sign up a few friends for that one!
We also have to get to NC to see another son and family as it has been since October to see those grandsons, a trip to Fla to see a daughter, a son in Idaho and well the one in Germany will have to come see us for now and come to Grandma Camp when they all converge in PA. Having said all this, it is a busy time of our life! This week included! Setting priorities which something that we all need to do. Refocuse, re-energize, and renew. TGIF. Make it a great day!. S
