Then turn on your radio, TV, or look in magazines and everywhere are ads that have products you can purchase to help you sleep. I saw a new one recently that my husband wanted to go get for me and I said let me see what the ingredients are first. He looked at me like I was crazy and come to find out the the product I was looking for was in there and it is just another way of presenting it. The word at the top is the one you need to look for as that is Benadryl... pure and simple. You may see with other products as many of your _________PM products but if that word is in it, it is still benadryl.
Now I don't know about you but if you want flour for something, you want just plain flour. You want or need self rising flour that comes with other products in it so buy what you need and that brings me back to diphenhydramine. If you want just the benadryl, why saturate yourself with other products that the body doesn't really want and then has to break down anyhow? I am not encouraging use of benadryl without your healthcare provider approving it, I am just saying buyer beware.
I have even given my dog benadryl on occasion and again the Vet gave me the go ahead and said 1 mg per 1 pound of dog weight. I have one little dog that gets extremely nervous and agitated with storms so he gets his benadryl with veterinarian's approval.
So all and all, what I am saying the cover may be different but always look at your labels and find out how to address your sleeping issues with your physician. Quiet bedroom, no tv in it, read a little before bed, I for one can't sleep during the day and think I will get to sleep at night unless I am really sick and running a temp but there are all kinds of interventions out there and be proactive and find some means of relief as we all need to sleep. zzzzzz
