I am not one that likes the sayings that might offend anyone especially since we have young to old that are experiencing this disease. I like that we are addressing men that are also breast cancer patients and survivors. A Cure would be the greatest gift as I don't want anyone else to have to go through what others have had to. The supportive team including your doctor and everyone else involved in your care makes a tremendous difference as do your friends and family but again, I hope not ever to face it ever again. I most often hear previous patients voice their concerns if and when it might appear again so it is not uncommon to always be looking over your shoulder. The technology, the treatment is improving daily and I do truly believe that a cure is at hand. Together we will get there and from there we can move on to all the other cancers that are affecting our society. So I will continue to support the cause, honor those fighting and continuing hoping for the cure. Make it a great day and see you somewhere in October as I will be there. Stop and say hi along the way. Making
As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and with that comes the pink ribbons but also the pink and blue ribbons since men can also and do get breast cancer. My calendar increases 10 fold and I just can't make every event that I would like to. I like the promotional slogans that are new each year: A Cure is the Greatest Gift, Supporting, Honoring, Hoping, Every Ribbon Tells a Story, Man Enough to Wear Pink, Mammograms Put Your Breast to the Test, United in Pink United for the Cause. Everyday Heroes Wear Pink.
