In the very near future (April 16th at the Iroquois Fishing and Boating Club in Conneaut Lake, starting at 8 am) we will be looking at means and methods to encourage long term success to improve the quality of your life, provide education, empower survivors towards wellness, improve mental health through sharing and networking. This retreat will hopefully address your cares and concerns and give you an opportunity of feeling supported. We will talk about diet including Vitamin D and soy and those issues that we so often hear about, we will also discuss complimentary medicine and fear of recurrence. The afternoon is devoted to completing our whole mind body experience by exploring Yoga and Massage and Fun and Sexuality. The hot luncheon will include a presentation on Debunking the Myths surrounding Breast Cancer. The excitement is building as we are hoping to help breast cancer patients and survivors embrace and love life. Most of all, we will look at I CAN COPE and being patient with oneself long after treatment is finished and what is your survivorship care plan. Life is different after cancer, of that there is no doubt but it can and should be a look at possibilities and opportunitites and enjoying each moment. If you are interested in this fun workshop, please call and pre-register with me at Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute,Meadville Medical Center. My number is (814)373-3381. Cost is $10 and
