So far, we haven't had much of a summer but as the end of June rapidly approaches I am reminded it is that time again for RELAY FOR LIFE. This event will be this weekend at the Crawford County Fair Grounds and you will see people walking around the track that is laid out and tents and all types of activities going on around that track. The theme is Hawaiian Luau and it should be a great time. You can see Purple ribbons all over Meadville to mark this big event. The Music will be loud and there will be prizes and activities even including root beer floats for the participants and a survivor dinner and a survivor walk. I will admit that I am much better walking and enjoying watching the participants rather than being in the survivor walk itself. I am not sure why but know I prefer to hang on the edges and watch as survivors pass around the track. It is a moving time and very heartfelt for me as I look to see past and present patients and also remembering the ones that aren't with us this year. I hope to see you while I am there and that you have as much fun as we all have participating in what is happening. I know that I will be able to hear the music all night long as I don't life too far from the fair grounds so I can pop in and out at anytime. So far all of us involved, Make it a great day! S
