The weekends are filled with hustle and bustle and I am slowing seeing the spirit move through people and grow. I love that about Christmas, good cheer seems to double when you are handing it out, it is a welcome reprieve from all the grinches that are on overtime to make the holiday less than bright but the warmth and sunshine of smiles can put those grinches down rather quickly and the good feeling you get from smiling and helping others just grows and grows. It won't be long till the season passes and the true test is if we can hold on to that joy and continue to pass it along. To hear your grandchild on the phone say I love you and a son far away send a card and tell you how much it means to have family and a husband that sticks with you through thick and thin, what blessings I have and I am sure if you look you will find your own blessings and probably an abundance if you just take the time and realize what you do have. I am warm, and fed, and have a wonderful family and a great job that I love. I am feeling good (albeit tired, but who isn't this time of year) and content in knowing I am where I am supposed to be at this time in my life. I wouldn't want to trade back for any other time than now. I live for each new day and look to what is good. I appreciate all of you that take the time to call, write and even read this blog. There are many out there that need a warm smile, a cup of coffee, a hug and we can do it. Make your own day great during this holiday season and throughout the year! S
