So, yes there are alot of worthy organizations that are asking for donations and at times you think, I can't afford one more donation but I am also lucky to be here and I see and know what others are going through and I will put the money in and pray that soon we will have the answers and no one will have to face breast cancer or any kind of cancer. There are alot of things I can't do but I can give money and look for a brighter tomorrow. The Meadville Tribune will soon be highlighting breast cancer awareness month and several of our heroes will write their heartfelt story of their experiences. I look forward to learning more each day. I know this isn't the article I promised and that will come soon but when I heard someone complain about the pink, I just felt I had to step up to the plate and say I do understand but there is always more to the story and I will continue to support pink and whatever color of cancer that is needing the resources to change this around. Therefore, make it a better day.S
Well it is Breast Cancer Awareness month and my schedule is filling up to the point of overfull. I love that we bring awareness to breast cancer and that we have come so far and are getting better with outcomes and treatments but it is still here and I have sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters and I for one would not only like to see breast cancer eradicated but all cancers. Pink is everywhere and as much as you may be sick of it, think about those going through it and what can we do to help? I talk to many about breast cancer and do education and support but I also work with other patients that are dealing with cancer of any kind as the numbers are out there and it just isn't going away anytime soon. I pray that no one has to experience it and when I get pepto bismal out with all the pink out there, I am blessed to have survived it and know that it affects everyone and every type of cancer. Our thoughts, cares, concerns are all the same when you get the diagnosis of cancer. The obvious part is that it also affects the outside of the body as well as the inside. The scars are and body changes are there for everyone to notice with breast cancer and the loss of hair. You are bombarded with a changing body image.
