Although there are many choices there are some common threads: reduce sugar and fat intake and increase fruit and vegetables and whole grains, replace some meat or poultry with seafood, reduce sodium and make a concerted effort to eat from all food groups. Limit calorie intake, and limit alcohol intake. Beverages do count and do provide needed water but how many colaries ,sugar and chemicals are we injesting? We are at a point in our lives that we must be pro-active and aware. Drive throughs do not provide the best nutrients and fresh is always best. I often say that vitamins and supplements are to be used in addition to what you are eating if needed but not instead of.
