Today is Monday and I am here to regroup, recharge and move on! The retreat was great in my estimation and from reviewing the evaluations, it looks like people did enjoy it. I felt bad that I had two ladies that came with about 1/2 hour to go and sessions were going and nothing left I could offer but I did hand out our pamplets and hoped we would see them again. They got the information second hand and missed that it was an all day retreat. We had great door prizes thanks to wonderful establishments and individuals in the area and beyond, we had good food, great networking and wonderful programming. There were breakout sessions on nutrition, recurrence fears, complementary therapies, yoga, massage, and fun/sexuality and a great keynote speaker and closing. I am sure everyone came away with something they could apply in their lives to whatever degree they needed. People who never tried yoga, or massage, tried it and found it was great. Some watched tenatively as the very small needles were put in my back for accupuncture and soon realized there was no pain involved in the placement of the needles and the help it provided. We had a ginger tea to soothe us and deal with any upset stomach issues and despite the rain outside, there was a beautiful view of Conneaut Lake and we networked. I am slowly wrapping up all the details of this and getting my thank you's out and evaulating what, when, where, and how if we might want to do it again. My biggest thank you goes to all of you that attended and for your sense of adventure and commitment to allowing the day to progress and staying an active participant of the event. There was some unchartered water but all in all, it went well. Could we improve, oh yes as there is always room for improvement but all in all, IT WAS A GREAT DAY!.
