Need I say more! It is my privilige and honor to pass these special pieces to our patients here at the institute at their time of need. You cannot buy a prayer shawl and you don't have to be in a group to make one. You just need to pray for the person that will receive this treasure that you made for them. My prayer shawl that I received during treatment remains on the back of my chair to this day. It is awesome to think that someone took the time and cared enough to make this for me and to pray for me and I can see that look of recognition on other's faces as they receive their prayer shawl. I would love to be able to give every patient a prayer shawl and others in need but I am only the emissary of what I receive and then pass them to the patients here at the institute. I am thrilled each time one comes in the door as I know in time that it will find a place
I now have a link to prayer shawls on my blog page and hope you will take a moment to take a look. Prayer Shawls are the most amazing thing and provide comfort and support and strength for those that are in need during their treatment. You may find something like this attached to the prayer shawl: May this SPECIAL PIECE provide comfort and care, and enfolding love and support for the person that receives this item. My hands have been guided to make this for you and my prayer is for you and is wrapped around each thread and knot as I made it. May you know that you are loved and cradled in security, kept in joy, graced with peace, and embraced with hope.
